For your convenience, you can download the webinar slides here.
As nonprofit professionals, we have the privilege of making choices about the language we use—whether in grant proposals, donor materials, or other external communications. Too often, we speak in generalizations or euphemisms to describe groups of people. Using shortcuts can dehumanize and oversimplify the very groups we aim to serve. However, we can work to remedy this issue by exploring the concept and practice of equitable language.
Listen as experts from Grants Plus share how to:
- Understand changes and challenges related to equity in philanthropy.
- Learn how to identify and remedy cases of inequitable language.
- Learn techniques to implement equitable language across your organization’s written and oral communications.
