Erika Orsulak | Consultant to the Scholarships team at Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF)
Erika has been a scholarship provider for the past eight years and in the field of philanthropy for her entire 17-year career. Erika has nearly always worked for small grantmaking and scholarship-providing public charities, ensuring that the programming supported by their generous donors is as effective and efficient as possible. Most recently, she helped to overhaul TMCF’s annual scholarship selection process; create and manage a new, engaging volunteer opportunity for hundreds of donors and corporate partners; and develop the team’s first-ever communications and evaluation plans. Erika has a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College a Master's in Public Administration and a Certificate of Nonprofit Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
Johnna Hargens-Brown | Director for Scholarships & Grants at Bellevue University
Johnna is responsible for managing & developing strategies, processes, & procedures to effectively administer all institutionally related scholarships & grants for the University. As a stand-alone department, her team collaborates with the Financial Aid Department, Student Finance, Business Office, Enrollment, Advising, Athletics, Advancement, & the colleges to ensure a smooth centralized process for current & prospective students to apply for scholarships. Johnna joined the University 12 years ago. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln & a Master of Science from Bellevue University.
