Improve your scholarship efficiency, reporting, relationships, and applicant experience
New updates to Scholarship Lifecycle Manager (SLM)
It was a game-changer when Universal Application (UA) was first launched in Foundant’s Scholarship Lifecycle Manager (SLM) software. In researching this feature, scholarship managers told us stories of having to find a “needle in a haystack” – that one student who would fit a very specific set of criteria set by the donor. Or, on the other side of the spectrum, students who were so overwhelmed by understanding which scholarships they qualified for and filling out application after application that they would give up before making any headway on the scholarships they might have been a perfect fit for.
Enter Universal Application (UA). This tool allows scholarship managers to set requirements across all award opportunities and allow applicants to fill out a single set of questions to help narrow down their opportunities to only those that they are truly fit for – so they know they’re spending their time in the right place. No more wasted time on multiple applications that were never a good fit.
Now, with new updates to UA, managing, applying for, and reporting on scholarships is even easier:
Committee management and communication
Scholarship managers and SLM system administrators can easily export a list of all members of a specific committee into a spreadsheet (CSV file) to have oversight in one place. Then, they can send quick batch communications to all or some of their committees via email directly from the system. This saves your admins time and ensures everyone is getting consistent, timely communications.
Applicant transparency
Applicants can see their scholarship award amount while viewing their follow-up forms, while admins can display based on decision settings. For instance, do you need to wait to show the award amount until all decisions are final? Build this into the workflow and easily provide transparency to your applicants at the right time and place.
Approvals and reporting
With an added level of configuration on your follow-up forms, you will reduce the number of clicks and decision points required for each award. This, coupled with accurate, insightful reports that keep you informed on who to pay, when to pay, and how much to pay takes much of the manual, time-intensive tasks off your plate so you can focus on understanding the impact of your work. Finally, improved data accuracy ensures information about follow-ups and installment payments is accurately tracked and shared across the system.
Faster decision-making
All questions stored in the same way means easier access to information, faster reviews, and better decision-making processes.
Scholarship Lifecycle Manager (SLM), with its Universal Application (UA) capabilities, supports anyone in the scholarship field looking to improve their relationship management, applicant experience, scholarship processes, efficiency, and impact measurement.
