Wren Stratton

Wren Stratton is a true Muskogee native. Wren graduated from Muskogee High School in 1972 and then earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1979 and her master’s in nursing education from Northeastern State University in 2018. She recently retired from a career teaching nursing. Wren is a founding member of the Muskogee Area Arts Council. She is a breast cancer thriver and a founding member of Women Who Care, which pays for cancer screenings for women who can't afford them. Wren served as a city councilwoman from 2002-06 and then as the mayor of Muskogee from 2006-08. She is currently serving as chair for the City of Muskogee Foundation and is a board member of a More Beautiful Muskogee. Wren is chapter treasurer and state continuing education chairman for Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO), and treasurer for the local art guild. She chairs the Depot District Development committee for downtown Muskogee. She is the mother of three sons and NaNa to six grandchildren. Fun times include bicycling, kayaking, and dancing in productions at Muskogee Little Theater.
